ABOUT THE GAME.

You are a sailor, lost and alone on the open ocean. You had a mission when you left home, but somewhere along the way, it all went horribly wrong. Now, your crewmates are dead. Your supplies are dwindling. Your ship is falling apart. And back home, you hope, someone is waiting for you.

SAILOR is a semi-historical Wretched & Alone game. It takes most of its inspiration from the real survival stories of old-world fishermen, sailors, and lighthouse keepers, as well as works like The Odyssey and The Tempest.

When you begin the game you've already lost, and the odds of survival are slim. But they're not zero. How will you navigate the vast, capricious sea, knowing that you may never see home again?

During play, you will use an oracle deck, block tower, dice, and your Ship's Log to tell the story of your doomed sailor.

This game makes explicit reference to potentially disturbing themes, including death (human and animal), self harm, starvation, insects and infestation, cannibalism, and religious trauma.
